Welcome from the Priest-in-Charge
Welcome to Christ the King Episcopal Church in Lakeland, Florida.
We are a church in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition that follows Jesus and seeks to discover God’s grace in our lives and everywhere “as an active orientation of all created reality toward God.” Our goal, first of all, is to be a welcoming place of refuge in an often storm-tossed world as we cultivate faith, hope, and love among the Body of Christ. Moreover, we aim to be actively involved in ministering to the world around us – on a mission to bring charity, justice, and peace in the name of God to those in our community who need it.
At Christ the King, you will find a community that is welcoming to all of God’s creation no matter your step on the journey or place in the story - single, married, divorced, separated, or partnered, our welcome knows no boundaries of age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, economic condition, or physical or mental ability. Indeed, we know that God delights in the diversity of creation and so do we.
Come! Come and share your story with us. Come and worship – we worship together on Sundays at 10 a.m. There is always a place for you!
