Outreach & MissionThe impact of a church is best measured outside its walls. Indeed, we meet together on Sundays and even during the week not only to worship God (though that is important) but also to be strengthened to bring the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit out into the world. That is our calling and we embrace it.
At Christ the King, we aim to make our outreach a valuable piece of our Christian journey as we seek to serve God and faithfully respond to the needs of the "least of these" (Matthew 25:35-46). From individuals involved in exercising their various talents in local charities and organizations to groups within the parish organizing projects and responses that have literally spanned the globe, our commitment at Christ the King is to make outreach integral to our church community. |
An Outreach Committee meets regularly to prayerfully seek a clear spiritual focus for parish outreach ministries. In addition to keeping the parish informed about current projects and opportunities, the committee sets a vision and implements regular goals, coordinates outreach projects, and administers outreach funds.
