Our Staff

Priest-in-Charge

PictureThe Reverend Carolyn K. Biggs
I earned  degrees in Psychology; a B.A. from University of Central Florida and a Master's of Divinity from Seabury Western seminary.
I was ordained to the priesthood in 2002 and have had the privilege of serving as Priest in Charge of Christ The King since 2015.
I currently serve on the Diocesan  Commission on Ministry.  I am also a Chaplain in the Order of St. Luke and the Order of the Daughter's of the King.
My passion is training, nurturing and equipping God's children for ministry, to glorify God and for the spread of the Kingdom.

I have been married to the same wonderful man for 41 years, and have 2 brilliant children; a daughter and a son and a lovely daughter in law. I also have 3 beautiful grandchildren; twin grandsons and a princess.
I enjoy creating, and leading special liturgies and retreats, writing Icons, rock collecting and dragonflies.

Our Deacon

The Reverend Ed Tatlian
I was an Altar boy in the Armenian Church, until I went into the Army. In 1959, I became an assistant to a Lutheran pastor and an  Episcopal priest. I eventually joined the Lutheran Church in 1975 and became one of the first graduates of the DIAKONIA program in 1980.  I  became a Deacon in 1985 and served in 3 different churches until 2004. I was appointed the Archdeacon of the Metropolitan NY Synod, and also served on the National Board for NY. In 2004 we moved to Lakeland FL, and I served at Reformation Lutheran Church as the Deacon from 2005 to 2017. I was also called to be the Archdeacon of the Florida Bahama Synod.
In 2017 I joined Christ The King Church and was received as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church. I am very proud to be serving God's people at Christ The King. We are family and we serve God together. I love serving the Lord, being involved with Children's Chapel, visiting at the Hospitals and serving as a Guardian ad Litem.

Jo Ann Tatlian
Parish Administrator

Baptized and raised a Lutheran, I became an Episcopalian in 2016. I became a member of Christ the King, and was asked to serve as the church secretary in 2017.
My business career started at Merrill Lynch a stock investment company, in 1971, but in 1973, I was challenged by my pastor to apply for a secretarial position at the Synod Office (equivalent to the Diocese in the Episcopal church).  I was blessed to serve on the staff of the Metropolitan New York Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for 30 years, working with 4 Bishops, and retired in 2004.

Musician

A lifelong Lakelander, I  became an Episcopalian in 1982, coming to Christ the King in the summer of 2016. My husband, Steven and I have been making Christian music for well over 40 years at several Episcopal, Lutheran and Catholic churches. We have a background in Praise Team music and enjoy leading and inspiring congregational singing. We have three adult daughters and two granddaughters. My "other job" is working during the week as Parish Secretary at St. Stephen's.
