Our Deacon
The Reverend Edward A. Tatlian, (Deacon Ed)
I was an Altar boy in the Armenian Church, until I went into the Army. In 1959, I became an assistant to a Lutheran pastor and an Episcopal priest. I eventually joined the Lutheran Church in 1975 and became one of the first graduates of the DIAKONIA program in 1980. I became a Deacon in 1985 and served in 3 different churches until 2004. I was appointed the Archdeacon of the Metropolitan NY Synod, and also served on the National Board for NY. In 2004 we moved to Lakeland FL, and I served at Reformation Lutheran Church as the Deacon from 2005 to 2017.
In 2017 I joined Christ the King Church and was received as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church. I am very proud to be serving God's people at Christ the King. We are family and we serve God together. I love serving the Lord, being involved with Children's Chapel, and serving as a Guardian ad Litem. My wife and I have a blended family of 4 children, two boys, two girls and one granddaughter.
