Afternoon tea, that most quintessential of English customs is, perhaps surprisingly, a relatively new tradition. The custom of drinking tea dates back to the third millennium BC in China and was popularized in England during the 1660s.
Our Friendship Tea is an opportunity for the ladies of Christ the King to extend an invitation to our families, friends and neighbors in the community to join us for an afternoon of fun, food & fellowship served by courteous waiters in formal attire. The afternoon festivities are also to raise funds for designated purposes (currently paving our handicapped parking area), We ask for a donation for admission and a Silent Auction is also held with many treasures available for purchase.
Future Dates: The Saturday before Mother's Day, (5/11/2019) at 3:00 pm.
