Florida Baptist's Children's Home
Description
Our vision is to bring hope to hurting children, to show that the love of Jesus changes lives and to impact the life of One More Child. Our first orphanage opened in 1904 to our present-day ministries that have expanded to provide safe, stable, Christian homes and services to children and families in need across the state and around the globe, we are honored to be helping children in tangible ways. Last year, MISSIONS FOR 2018 had the privilege of serving more than 249,044 children and individuals through our campuses, foster care services, adoption services, Brave Moms, emergency care, compassion ministries and more.
Whether it’s providing clean diapers to a newborn baby, food for a hungry child, safety for an abused child, or foster or adoptive homes to children in crisis, we work to share with children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned the protective and healing love of Jesus.
Our campuses serve school-age boys and girls in family-style homes, which are referred to as "cottages." Typically, there are bedrooms for one to three children, a family room, living room, kitchen and laundry room. Each residence accommodates up to eight children at a time and each is staffed with house parents.
